WEBVISIONS SECURES S$1 MILLION IN NEW BUSINESS CONTRACTS

Internet Data Center Is Already One-Third Full, Just Two Months After Its Opening

Singapore, 10 March 2000 - Webvisions Pte Ltd, Singapore's leading web hosting company, today announced that the company has secured new business contracts worth S$1 million since the opening of its Data Center in January 2000. The Data Center is now operating at 30% of its full capacity. The company has signed up more than 50 dedicated server and co-location customers in the month of February, just one month after the launch of its Data Center. Webvisions also noted that its virtual server demand has doubled in the month of February alone. This business growth is attributed to the company's unmatched one-stop web hosting solutions and new, state-of-the-art Data Center facilities.

The Data Center is attracting new customers as well as growing the business with established customers. Webvisions now hosts more than 5,000 businesses internationally. The company offers a diverse selection of shared, dedicated and co-location web hosting services for small and medium-sized companies. Prices range from S$30.00 per month for entry-level hosting to several thousand dollars per month for high-end facility management services. Webvisions' co-location and dedicated server customer base currently includes AsiaSmart.com, CATCHA.COM, Internet-callcentre.com, PropertyBuy.com and SoundBuzz.com.

"Most SMBs do not have a dedicated IT staff or trained individuals to manage their web hosting requirements," said Webvisions' CEO, Roger Lim. "Furthermore, there is a trend towards more outsourced web hosting, with studies showing that 90 percent of companies will outsource their basic web site needs by 2001. Therefore, to truly add value to this segment, Webvisions has led the charge to deliver high-powered, mission-critical solutions that enable growing companies to leverage the power of the Internet."

"Forrester Research predicts that business-to-business e-commerce will skyrocket to US$3.2 trillion by 2003. This phenomenal Internet business growth has contributed to the tremendous demand of web hosting services," said Keith Timimi, Associate SI Director of The Web Connection. "By outsourcing the technical requirements necessary for an online presence, our company can create, update and grow our web site faster and more cost effectively than any internally-developed solutions."

"In addition, partnering with a dedicated web hosting provider is very essential. Web Connections is delighted to work with Webvisions, who has proven to be a responsive and professional hosting provider," added Timimi.

"With the web hosting market expected to grow from US$1.9 billion in 1999 to US$14.6 billion by 2003, Webvisions is already looking at various opportunities to expand our data center facilities across the region," added Lim.
