WEBVISIONS AND F5 NETWORKS FORM STRATEGIC ALLIANCE TO DELIVER INTELLIGENT CONTENT AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS

Singapore, 14 July 2000 - Webvisions Pte Ltd, Singapore's leading web hosting company, and F5 Networks, a leading provider of Internet traffic and content management products, today announced a strategic alliance to deliver high-performance traffic and content management solutions for mission-critical Internet applications.

Webvisions will offer F5 Networks' 3-DNSÒ and BIG-IPÒ products to meet its increasing customer demand for high-powered, reliable and scalable Internet hosting solutions. F5 Networks' 3-DNS and BIG-IP will be offered as part of Webvisions' managed services line, which combine high-speed Internet connectivity and 24/7 environment, with a range of services that include firewall management, system backup and administration, E-commerce gateways and content aggregation.

"We see an increasing need from our own customer base for mission-critical applications that fortify customer network performance, optimize end-user quality and ensure continuous application availability," said Roger Lim, Chief Executive Officer of Webvisions. "F5 Networks' BIG IP and 3-DNS enhance Webvisions' services by offering our customers the option for improved control over the performance of their network infrastructure.

3-DNS is F5's award winning wide-area, high availability, intelligent load balancing product for companies competing in the exploding digital economy. With 3-DNS enterprises, service providers and global e-commerce companies are able to deliver rich and dynamic content faster and more reliably to end users and customers - regardless of where they are located.

The BIG-IP Content Switch is built on Intel's IXP1200 network processor and combines advanced software capabilities including SSL management, HTTP header load-balancing, and URL parsing to offer businesses an advanced way to intelligently manage Internet content and high volumes of traffic at available line speeds.

"This new alliance marks our dedication to bring top performance Internet management solutions to our customers across the globe. F5's next generation offerings are definitely on target to help organisations manage their e-infrastructure cost-effectively," said Leigh Wilson, F5 Networks' Managing Director (Asia Pacific). "Given Webvisions' significant presence in the e-business market in this region, they are the ideal partner for us. As they expand their presence and open new data centers in India and other strategic Asian markets, we are very interested in growing with them."
