INTEGRATED CORPORATE INTERNET HOSTING SOLUTIONS
Webvisions offers IBM's Netfinity servers packaged with
web hosting solutions to SMEs and large enterprises
Singapore, 7 July 2000 - Webvisions Pte Ltd, Singapore's leading web hosting company, and IBM, an acknowledged IT and e-business leader, announced today that they have strategically partnered to deliver integrated Internet solutions to existing and new customers. This alliance allows Webvisions to leverage IBM's range of robust and scalable Netfinity servers to deliver high-performance corporate web hosting solutions.
The two parties will jointly launch a range of services to provide integrated Internet server solutions, beginning with the "Business Express" program for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the "Powered by Netfinity" line of dedicated server solutions for large enterprises. These services will be available from late July 2000 onwards.
Under the new agreement with IBM, selected IBM Netfinity server models including the 1000, 3000, 4000R and the latest 3500M20, will be bundled with Webvisions' Business Express program, catering to small and medium-sized business users.
Webvisions' renowned Business Express program provides efficient hosting solutions for businesses seeking a web presence and an Internet identity through corporate e-mails. Promising to "dot com" any business within 24 hours, the program offers express Internet domain name registration, a simple corporate e-mail and web hosting plan, easy e-mail management and web-based mailbox access.
The new "Powered by Netfinity" range of server hosting plans combines the power of IBM's Netfinity servers with the benefits of Webvisions' premium hosting services. The state-of-the-art and remarkable slim (1U) Netfinity 4000R has large memory capacity, NT/Linux OS support, and is suitable for businesses with space constraints. Alternatively, the Netfinity 3500M20, is a low-cost file-and-print, entry level application server, with secure Internet messaging for SMEs and large enterprises. Bundled with either Nefinity server, Webvisions' package includes high-bandwidth connectivity to the Internet, 24-hour network and web site monitoring, high-security access and additional managed services such as database, firewall and backup administration.
