Michael, a sales veteran with 9 years of experience in the telecommunications and Internet industries, will develop and execute Webvisions' Pan-Asian sales strategy. At the same time, he will manage Webvisions' major corporate accounts, build and train the sales team, and identify new revenue streams for the company. "This new appointment marks our commitment to have a dynamic and experienced management team lead the company in its continued growth," said Webvisions' CEO, Roger Lim. Previously, Michael was the Senior Sales Manager at UUNET Asia Pacific, where he sold Internet connectivity services to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in South Asia. In Singapore, he helped newly-founded UUNET Singapore boost sales to over US$500,000 within three months. Before joining UUNET, Michael worked at AT&T Singapore, as Senior Sales Manager responsible for the sales and marketing of the company's high-capacity International Private Leased services to ISPs. Michael grew the business from its start-up phase to a complex portfolio exceeding US$22 million in revenue. Concurrently, he was actively involved in their Global Account Management programmes in Asia-Pacific. There, Michael provided data and voice services to multinational corporations in the banking, finance, pharmaceutical, disk drive and petroleum industries. Michael holds a Masters in Business Administration from Golden Gate University and an undergraduate degree in Engineering from National University of Singapore. He is also a graduate of the Information Communication Institute of Singapore (ICIS), where he specialized in Network Planning and Simulation.
